Meet "Rhino"!

Hey dudes. This is my dog, Rhino. He's a funny little pug, though he can be stubborn sometimes. You probably already recognized him from some of the videos on my web site. If not, go check them out at Awesome Squad.

Now some of you may think naming my dog "Rhino" might be a little weird, but trust me, the name fits. And it's not nearly as weird as some of the many nicknames he's picked up. Here's a list of his nicknames, and how he got them. If you can think of a new nickname for him, let me know!

The Many nicknames of The Rhino...

- Potato. (Look at him, his body is shaped like a big potato!)

- Turbo. (Surprisingly, he is super fast over short distances)

- Poop Jones. (A name I gave him when he tries to act like a human)

- Pig-bat. (he snorts like a pig, has a curly Q tail, but has a face like a bat)

- Crazy eyes. (obviously, because his eyes point in different directions)

- Rhiney Poo-Poos. (still not sure about how he got this one)

- Mr. Tall (whenever he jumps up on something so he can be tall, like a couch or stairs)

More Haunted House News

Okay, here's some more proof that the house I'm living in is Haunted. Take a look at this picture I took of the wallpaper in one of the bedrooms.

Look at it REAL close. Notice anything? It's a picture of a monster!!! You can see it's eyes, nose, and huge teeth. Oh sure, it looks like a bunch of flowers, but trace the lines a little, and add some color to it, like this...

See, it's a monster!!! Anyone that sleeps in this room has a wall full of monster faces staring at them when they sleep. Maybe it's a picture of what the ghost looks like that's haunting our house.

I'm gonna keep looking around here. Wish me luck!

Haunted House

A couple years ago I was staying in a huge house in New york right by a lake. I was all alone in the house at night, and every room was pitch black, except the one room i was in, reading a Harry Potter book. It was my first time at the house, and my dad had warned me that people said the house was haunted. I wasn't scared. Yet.

In the living room there was a big fake fish called a "Billy Bass". You put the fish on your mantle or shelf. In the fish was a motion detector, and whenever someone walks in the room, the fish senses you, and starts shaking his head and singing "rolling, rolling, rolling down the river".

Anyways, the room the fish was in was empty, and the lights were turned off. I was the only person in the house. Suddenly, I heard the fish start singing "rolling down the river". That was odd, because it only sings when someone is in the room, and no one was in that room. or was someone? I went back to reading, but the fish started singing again. Quietly, I got up and crept towards the room. It was dark, so I slowly entered the room and turned on the light. Suddenly, the fish turned its head and looked at me and yelled "ROLLING DOWN THE RIVER"!!! Then a huge Bat came flying right at my head, shrieking at me. I quickly fell to the floor, and the bat flew away. It was the bat who the fish saw, and I was no longer scared.

Now I recently moved back to New York, and am now living in that same house by the lake that people say is haunted. My brother Jared is also living with me, and my little dog Rhino. On Monday night, at 10:00, I left the house, and walked down the hill to the lake. It was pitch black and I couldn't see anything. Eventually, I sat on a picnic table next to the water, and called a friend of mine. As I talked on the phone in the dark, Rhino walked into the woods nearby to explore.

When I hung up my phone, I sat in silence for a couple minutes. It was then that I heard a strange noise coming from the woods. It was a crunch, followed by a low whistling noise. It was really creepy, and too dark to see anything. In a quiet voice, I called for Rhino, thinking it was probably him. But Rhino was actually underneath the picnic table, and he was so scared that he was shaking. Why was my dog so scared? Then I heard the noise again, "crunch, and another whistle noise that sounded like a ghost moaning from a scary movie i saw once...". Then I thought, it's probably Jared trying to scare me. Just to be sure, I used my phone to call up to the house. Jared answered the phone.

"Are you trying to scare me outside?" I asked him.

"No way, I'm not going out there, there's mosquitoes outside," said Jared. "You know how much I hate mosquitoes!"

"Well, if you're in the house, then what's making the noise in the woods?" I asked.

"Beats me", said Jared. "Wait a minute, I think a just saw something moving outside near your car. Whoa, what was that!!!"

Then, the phone went dead. I don't know what Jared saw, but now I couldn't talk to him, and I was still down by the lake, in the dark, with Rhino scared next to me. Then I heard the noise again, and this time it was at the very edge of the woods, only 20 feet away from me. "Crunch, whistle". I decided to walk back to the house. As I was walking up the hill, I heard the noise again, but this time i heard it from two different places! "Crunch, whistle, Crunch, Whistle". As I walked up the hill, Rhino was so scared he kept bumping into me.

I was getting close to the top of the hill. At the top was the house, but I had to walk past my car to get there. Didn't Jared say he saw something moving around my car? Then, I heard the noise in front of me!!! "CRUNCH, WHISTLE"! Then again behind me "CRUNCH, WHISTLE". As I looked towards my car, there was a big shadow slowly creeping near the back door. Then there were two shadows, and then three!!! Quickly, I ran towards the house with Rhino next to me. I heard the noises behind me, "CRUNCH, CRUNCH CRUNCH, WHISTLE"!!!

I got in the house. Jared was there spraying himself with mosquito repellent. He wasn't sure what was out there. We decided we needed something to warn us if there were more shadows moving around my car. So we grabbed the Billy Bass. We set the fish outside the front door on the stairs. If anything outside moved, the fish would sense it and start singing "Rolling down the river". We were both pretty tired, so we brushed our teeth and went to bed. We left a couple windows open in the house so we could listen to whatever might be outside. At 2:00 in the morning, we woke up when we heard a gigantic "CRUNCH, followed by that ghostly whistle". Then we heard Billy Bass the fish start singing "Rolling, rolling, rolling down the CRUNCH!!!!!!! Something attacked Billy Bass, and the fish stopped before he could finish his song! There was no way we were going out there, and we tried to go back to sleep. The next morning, we woke up and went outside. There was Billy Bass on the stairs, but he had big claw marks on his tail and teeth marks all over his face. Something tried to eat him! But what was it?

This is the end of my story for now, but I promise that me and Jared will keep investigating to find out what is lurking around outside our haunted house. Maybe it can get in the house. I better have my camera ready to take a picture if I see it. What do you think attacked Billy Bass? Write your ideas on our guestbook of what you think it is. Maybe your ideas will help me figure out what's outside the house...
